Alice Gonzalez

Studio Art B.F.A., acrylic painting, functional ceramics.

Alice Gonzalez is a multi-disciplinary artist born and raised in Tampa, FL. She specializes in acrylic painting and functional ceramics but is known to dabble in the arts of printmaking and writing (to name a few). When she isn’t in her studio, she’s learning languages (English, Spanish, French, German, Ukrainian, etc.), playing guitar, keyboard, or hanging with her pets and family.

Happenings, awards, and experiences:

  • Attended Blake High School, a visual and performing art magnet school in Tampa, FL where she studied creative writing and pursued the arts in a motivated community of learners.

  • Gold and Silver key recipient for Scholastics Art & Writing from 2018, 2019, and 2020. Awards for art and creative writing. 

  • Published in multiple editions of Blake High School’s Synapse literary magazine.

  • Self-published poetry chapbook in 2020 which is available on Amazon.

  • Featured in USF Art House 2023, 2024, and 2025.

  • 2023 Published in the 19th edition of USF’s Thread Magazine. 

  • Awarded personal artist studio at USF School of the Arts in 2024 with estimated 25% acceptance rate.

  • Artwork featured on USF Morsani College of Medicine’s Heart Repair and Drug Discovery Lab website.

  • 2025 Published in the 21st edition of USF’s Thread Magazine

  • 2025 Art Featured in Centre Gallery “Harmony of Hues” exhibition
